An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Colne Community School for a Learning Support Assistant to join our SEND Team.

This role is 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time, plus 1 non-pupil days). This will be Monday to Friday 08:40am - 15:10pm.

This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2030 and is dependent on the funding available, based on specific student enrolment.

A Day in the Life:

You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

• To aid the student(s) to learn as effectively as possible and to reach their full potential in whole class, group or individual situations.

• Ensuring the needs of new students are circulated to relevant staff.

• Contribute to reviews of the students’ progress.

What We're Looking For:

You are the perfect fit for our team if you have:

• GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent

• Ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability

• Ability to resolve routine problems independently
