About Us:

The Green Flying High Academy is a vibrant and inclusive primary school where children are at the centre of everything we do. We are proud of our warm, welcoming ethos and strong sense of community, where every child is supported to achieve their very best.

Our dedicated staff team works collaboratively to create an environment where curiosity is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and learning is brought to life through a rich, broad, and balanced curriculum. We place high importance on wellbeing, both for our children and our staff, and are committed to nurturing a positive, purposeful culture in which everyone can thrive.

About Flying High:

Flying High Partnership is a thriving multi-academy trust of 35 primary schools across Derbyshire, Nottingham City, and Nottinghamshire. We are driven by a shared vision to be unique, exceptional, and sustainable. Founded in 2012, we believe in the power of meaningful collaboration to help schools reach their full potential while supporting others along the way.

Our Partnership celebrates individuality, champions continuous improvement, and ensures every child thrives. With a strong focus on school-led professional development and leadership, we’re committed to growing exceptional teachers and inspirational leaders.

Together, we make every day count.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and highly skilled Office Manager to lead and oversee the smooth running of our school office. As a key member of the administrative and wider school team, you will provide high-level administrative and financial support that ensures our school operates efficiently and warmly welcomes children, families, staff, and visitors.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional service. You will work closely with the Head Teacher, staff, families, and the Flying High Partnership Central Team, contributing to the wider life, culture, and continued improvement of the school.

Whether you already have experience in a similar role or are ready to step up, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

·  Deliver a wide range of complex administrative tasks, including preparing sensitive correspondence, producing detailed financial statements, and managing school data.

·  Oversee and coordinate the work of administrative colleagues, ensuring an efficient and positive office environment.

·  Maintain and develop systems and processes to support the smooth running of the school’s operations.

·  Lead on financial administration, including processing orders, reconciling accounts, budget monitoring, and handling cash.

·  Organise school events, trips, and activities—managing logistics, communication, and associated financial matters.

·  Provide professional secretarial support for meetings such as Senior Leadership, governors, and committees, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.

·  Offer authoritative advice to staff, parents, and external stakeholders on school policies and processes, handling queries with confidence and professionalism.

·  Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by following all policies, reporting concerns, and engaging in regular safeguarding training.

·  Promote confidentiality, accuracy, and high professional standards at all times.

·  Contribute to the culture, values, and wider life of the school and Flying High Partnership.

We Can Offer You:

·        A welcoming and supportive team where collaboration and wellbeing are valued

·        High-quality professional development at every stage of your career

·        A culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and shared best practice across the trust

·        Access to an Employee Assistance Programme offering counselling, financial and legal support

·        A fantastic working environment where everyone is valued and children are at the heart of every decision

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

·  Has experience in a senior administrative role, ideally within education.

Shows strong organisation and initiative, can prioritise tasks with confidence, and stays calm and effective during busy periods or when working to deadlines, all while keeping everyday excellence for our children at the heart of their practice

·  Can manage a busy, varied workload and prioritise effectively.

·  Is confident using IT systems including Outlook, MS Office, and administrative databases.

·  Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong attention to detail.

·  Can problem-solve independently and as part of a team.

·  Builds strong relationships with staff, families, and partners.

·  Is proactive, resilient, and approaches challenges with a positive attitude.

·  Is committed to putting children’s education and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.

·  Understands and embodies the Flying High Partnership values.
