If so, we would love to hear from youYour journey towards impactful leadership starts here.

Trinity CE Primary School is seeking to appoint an inspiring, talented and professional leader to join our community in September as our new Assistant Headteacher! The successful candidate will be ready to take their next step in their career in a strong values-led school, and who displays a strong commitment to professional growth and the flourishing of all.

Tucked within the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside is Trinity, a primary school situated in the quaint village of Aldwincle, with connections to Kettering, Thrapston and Corby in under 20 minutes. Here, children thrive and are challenged within an environment that champions innovative learning and creative thinking, through a broad and balanced curriculum, delivered by staff who share in our vision, to nurture their social, emotional, and spiritual development, as equally as the growth of knowledge.

Following a successful Ofsted Inspection in June 2023, our school received a very well-deserved rating of Good. Ofsted Inspectors commented that relationships between pupils and staff are warm and considerate with pupils stating, 'there’s such a nice, safe atmosphere here.’  Central to our success is our amazing staffing team, who work hard to create a calm, settled learning environment for our pupils, who are polite and proud of their work, with positive attitudes towards learning. We pride ourselves on providing the very best teaching and learning experience for all of our children. Our curriculum is broad and balanced, which offers many opportunities for the children to take part in exciting events such as day trips, residentials, theme days and community gatherings at school and church.

We are looking to recruit someone who:

  • Has recent, successful experience in the classroom and is looking for an opportunity to take the next step in their leadership career.
  • Has the skills to lead, improve and sustain academic achievement for all children, who has high expectations for children’s learning, and can foster collaborative working and living our values every day.
  • Someone who is up to date with current research around Quality First Teaching and Early Years practice.
  • Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn to the best of their ability and reach their potential.
  • Has the ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies in order to support pupils’ smooth transition into school and is an excellent communicator.
  • Is confident in leading a team, developing the vision and having the drive to move it forwards
  • Able to create a stimulating and inviting learning environment adapted to suit the needs of the pupils.
  • Embraces and is knowledgeable about inclusion
  • Has good knowledge of the curriculum and has high expectations of children's learning and outcomes and how to achieve them
  • Understands and is committed to pupils' pastoral needs and behaviour management
  • Has the ability to work effectively, flexibly, and independently and above all is a committed team member
  • Is an enthusiastic individual who supports and challenges positively, driving change for the benefit of all.
  • Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.

In return, we can offer you:

  • A school that is committed to the importance of developing children’s creativity, imagination and love of learning
  • A flourishing school that is committed to inclusion and building relationships that serve the whole school community
  • A school that believes in kindness, love and Christian values that underpin its approach to the whole school community.
  • A high quality, committed staff team who are passionate about ‘making a difference’
  • A large trust, spanning Northamptonshire, Rutland and Peterborough, that is highly committed to professional development and provides access to a range of developmental and career opportunities
  • A supportive trust that will challenge you positively and will encourage you to achieve your potential.
