About this Role

Ulverley School is a place where Inspiration, Achievement and Community are more than just words. Our families tell us that it is a safe, exciting and supportive place to learn and to grow.
Why not come and be a part of our diverse community as we strive to be the best that we can be, learning from each other and providing exciting opportunities for all?
If you have a kind and caring disposition, the ability to motivate and inspire children, engaging them in exciting activities and are able to effectively contribute to our community, then please read on.
We are looking for a part time playworker for our wraparound club. We offer a breakfast club, afterschool club and holiday club to our children.  Hours are negotiable.

We would like someone with excellent inter-personal skills who can support our wraparound care team in providing and promoting a safe and stimulating environment suitable for the wellbeing and development of children.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a busy and varied environment whilst remaining calm, friendly, and respectful towards pupils, staff, parents/carers, and visitors. The post holder will be efficient, reliable and have the ability to work on their own initiative. Prior experience of working in this environment would be preferred but not essential.
All queries about the post should be directed to our URS manager, Cheryl Bradley, cbradley@ulverleyschool.co.uk

Robin Hood MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, including those within our Central Team, to share this commitment and to maintain a vigilant and safe environment across all our academies.

This post is considered "regulated activity" (or involves regular access to our school sites) and is therefore subject to an Enhanced DBS check with a check of the Children’s Barred List. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity.

All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children.

In line with the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), we will conduct an online search on all shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence process.  We will discuss any information flagged during this process with the candidate during the interview stage before making a final recruitment decision.
