About this Role

St Joseph's Catholic Academy is looking to appoint a Wraparound After School Level 3 Assistant. As a Wraparound After School Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and engaging activities for pupils outside of standard school hours—typically before and after the school day. This role is ideal for someone who is nurturing, energetic, and committed to supporting children’s wellbeing in a safe, fun, and structured environment.

You will work as part of a dedicated team to deliver a range of activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and physical development. Your responsibilities may include preparing and serving snacks, supervising play and enrichment activities, supporting homework or quiet time, and ensuring the safety and welfare of all children in your care.

Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues are essential. You’ll also be expected to follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive wraparound provision.

This is a rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s daily school experience, helping to create a supportive bridge between home and classroom life.

We can offer:

  • Generous 27 days annual leave entitlement, rising to 32 days after 5 years service
  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic and successful team
  • Access to Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Networking opportunities.
