Serenity School Coulsdon is looking to appoint a Progress Partner (Teaching Assistant) to work as part of our supportive and collaborative team to support our pupils in small groups or 1:1

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Support teaching, learning, and assessment by delivering learning activities to individuals and small groups of pupils under agreed supervision

  • Contribute to the planning, preparation, and adaptation of learning activities to meet pupils’ individual needs

  • Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress, achievement, and development, providing feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders

  • Promote inclusion, positive behaviour, and pupil wellbeing, responding effectively to pupils’ physical, emotional, and behavioural needs

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals to support pupil outcomes and wider school development


Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting, with a commitment to inclusive education

  • Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships

  • Is flexible, resilient, and able to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment

  • Is confident using IT systems, willing to undertake training (including positive handling), and committed to professional development
