Serenity School Coulsdon is looking to appoint an experienced, motivated, and passionate Higher Level Progress Partner (HLTA) to work as part of our supportive and collaborative team.

The Higher Level Progress Partner will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to support teaching and learning, raise pupil attainment, and promote inclusion, independence, and positive outcomes for all learners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Supporting teaching and learning by working alongside class teachers to raise pupil attainment and progress
Delivering learning activities to individuals and groups, and leading class teaching under supervision when required
Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem, inclusion, and wellbeing
Supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to access the curriculum effectively
Using consistent behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
Monitoring, recording, and feeding back on pupil progress, attainment, and engagement
Preparing learning environments and resources to create a safe, stimulating classroom setting
Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals to support pupil outcomes
Contributing to meetings, training, planning, and wider school development activities
We are looking for someone who:
Is passionate about working with children and young people, including those with additional needs
Has relevant experience working in a school or educational setting
Has experience supporting, planning, or leading learning activities under teacher supervision
Demonstrates strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
Has a good understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and equality
Is resilient, flexible, and able to remain calm in challenging situations
Is committed to professional development and continuous improvement
