St Mary’s is a very special school that has served the town of Burton Latimer since 1581, which places the Christian values at the heart of everything we do. We aim to offer a well-balanced, engaging and relevant curriculum, to allow our children to dream, believe, and achieve.

St Mary’s is a proud member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust and has been since 2018. We are a family of 33 schools across the Peterborough Diocese, and these strong links make special contribution to our children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and learning. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing finances and other central services for the academies within the Trust.

We are currently seeking two caring, passionate and professional Level 2 Teaching Assistants, who are eager to provide learning and pastoral care of our children. 

We are seeking someone who:

• Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education and contribution to our whole school community;
• Is committed to supporting, motivating and challenging the learning of children of all abilities within the classroom
• Work creatively with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of the pupils and curriculum
• Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently
• Shows initiative and creativity in different learning situations;
• Is passionate about children’s learning and well-being;
• Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school.
