We are seeking to appoint a motivated and committed Deputy SENDCo to support the day-to-day management of the Inclusion Support Unit, working under the direction of the SENDCo. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing, managing, and enhancing provision for students aged 7–13 with a wide range of special educational needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo to ensure high-quality support is in place, enabling all students to achieve their full potential. You will lead and coordinate a team of skilled teaching assistants, providing guidance and support to colleagues to promote inclusive and effective practice across the school.
The role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering targeted interventions for students with diverse needs, particularly those with autism and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including ADHD, attachment difficulties, and anxiety.
Additional responsibilities include deputising for the SENDCo when required and line managing learning support assistants within the Inclusion team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional looking to develop their leadership skills and make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people.
