About this Role

We are excited to invite applications for a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our thriving Modern Foreign Languages Faculty at Arnold Hill Spencer Academy on a full-time, permanent basis. The ability to also teach French at Key Stages 3 and 4 would be desirable, but is not essential.

You will become part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team that is both supportive and ambitious, with a strong culture of collaboration and high expectations for all. Our MFL department is recognised for its warmth, innovation, and commitment to excellence. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECT’s.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Brings genuine enthusiasm for languages and learning
  • Can inspire, engage, and motivate students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Is committed to sharing best practice and ongoing professional development

At our academy, we are dedicated to raising aspirations and enabling students to achieve both personal and academic success. We strive to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to become passionate, lifelong learners—ready to fulfil their potential and beyond.

Arnold Hill Spencer Academy is a truly special place to learn and work. In June 2025, Ofsted rated the academy ‘Good’ in all areas and ‘Outstanding’ for Post-16 provision. Our August GCSE results exceeded national averages for both attainment and progress, reflecting the dedication of our staff and the ambition of our students.

We are proud of our young people, whose behaviour, achievements, and character shine every day. Guided by our community ethos — “Be inspired and achieve together” — we provide daily opportunities for success, growth, and collaboration. Respect, responsibility, and independence are at the heart of our values, helping students to mature into confident, capable individuals. At Arnold Hill Spencer Academy, we believe in the potential of every student and nurture it within a caring, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Early application is strongly encouraged as we reserve the right to interview and close the advert ahead of the closing date.

Spencer Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children and young people. Therefore, we expect everyone to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre- employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and the completion of Level 2 Safeguarding training. It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children (where the role involves this type of regulated activity).

The Trust and its member academies are committed to promoting equality and diversity in both employment and education provision. We aim to ensure that students, parents, governors, employees, contractors, partners, clients and other stakeholders within the Trust community are treated fairly, and with dignity and respect regardless of Protected Characteristics.

Spencer Academies Trust is a Disability Confident Committed Employer
