About the role
We are looking to expand our team of Invigilators to join our friendly team in the running of all public and internal examinations at UTC (Ofsted Good 2023) and MIlllbay throughout the academic year.
Duties include supervising students taking public and internal exams to ensure the smooth running of exams, preparing exam rooms, distributing and collecting exam papers in accordance with the JCQ regulations working with school staff, candidates and other invigilators before, during and after exams.
Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills; a confident and assertive disposition and have a reassuring presence in the Examination Room.
This is a casual contact and working hours will be negotiated for each exam period October, November, January, February, May and June.
About the successful candidate
The ideal candidate for the exam invigilator position will be someone who is highly organised, attentive to detail, and able to maintain a calm, professional demeanour in a fast-paced environment. They should have excellent communication skills, as they will be responsible for providing clear instructions to students, answering any queries, and ensuring all exam procedures are followed accurately. Previous experience in a supervisory or educational role is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided. A successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently, ensuring that exam conditions are secure and that the integrity of the testing process is upheld at all times.
