About this Role

Business Operations Manager 

37 hours per week, Full Time 

Permanent 

Term Time plus 3 weeks, 48.1 weeks per year

St Silas Church of England Primary Academy are seeking  to appoint a Business Operations Manager who will play a key role in supporting the academy’s strategic and operational objectives by ensuring administrative, site, ICT and financial systems are efficient, compliant and responsive to need. The postholder will contribute towards strong organisational practice, supports senior leaders in meeting statutory and Trust requirements, and helps maintain effective communication, data management and service delivery across the school. The role supports continuous improvement by promoting consistency, accuracy and professionalism in all administrative functions, both within the academy and, where required, across the Trust.

The ideal candidate will be a personable and engaging character who can use their initiative and be flexible. You should have good customer service, ICT and communication skills. We are seeking an individual who is well-organised, efficient, flexible, calm, friendly, motivated and passionate about providing an excellent support service to our children, staff and visitors. Training will be given to the right candidate but you will require good IT skills, particularly Google Docs/Sheets and a knowledge of SIMS would be an advantage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrate good communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, governors, pupils and parents.

  • Excellent IT skills. 

  • Very good organisational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

YOU WILL HAVE:

  • The ability to work on own initiative.

  • Communication with parents on a professional basis.

  • Experience with working with young people.

  • GCSEs at grade C or above in English and Maths.
