We are looking for a Head of Drama Teacher to elevate Performing Arts.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the development and management of teaching within Drama.
• Identify areas for development and improvement linked to the Academy improvement plan, SEF, national and local initiatives.
• Develop and monitor schemes of work for Drama across the academy in liaison with your department and to ensure the successful implementation which meets curriculum requirements and differentiated to reflect student needs.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and achievement against targets in your area.
• Have an overview of, and contribute to the planning and delivery of continuous professional development and training.

Pay range:

• M1 - U3 £34,389.00 - £52,490.00 (Fringe)
• Plus TLR2B - £6,068.00

Qualifications and Skills:

• QTS or recognised equivalent
• Degree in subject specialism or related subject
• Ability to develop a number of curriculum areas
• Ability to support staff and students in maintaining high standards
• Ability to plan, prepare and deliver a curriculum relevant to the age and ability of the groups
