About this Role

Saxmundham Primary is a thriving 315 place primary school with a Nursery for children from three years old.  The school has a strong community ethos and we are committed to meeting the needs of our children and families through a broad curriculum and pastoral offer.  Our enthusiastic pupils behave well and have a real enthusiasm for learning and all aspects of school life. Supported by a dedicated teaching team, very supportive parents, local advisors and trustees, we offer a well-equipped working environment and opportunities for fully supported career professional development within the school and our Trust.

From September 2026 we are looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Class Teacher to join our dedicated team at Saxmundham Primary School.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our young learners.

We are proud to be part of East Anglian Schools Trust (EAST) alongside Farlingaye High School, Kesgrave High School, Bungay High School, Castle East School, Holbrook High School, EAST SCITT and five other primary schools Kyson, Wickham Market, Easton, Aldeburgh and Leiston with whom we work closely with.

The Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint prior to the advert closing date. With this in mind we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

We are a Teaching School Hub partner, which allows us to improve teaching and learning on a continuous basis. We are committed to providing excellent staff opportunities through developing and promoting our staff and offering an excellent CPD and support programme for new staff. We are also extremely pleased to have launched our own teacher training provider: EAST SCITT. This allows us to award QTS and also QTS + PGCE Programmes within both Primary and Secondary schools.

East Anglian Schools Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share and adhere to this commitment. Please note that all applicants will be subject to online searches.
