The position

 

We’re looking to appoint a highly motivated Teacher of Textile &/or Food who can inspire our exceptional students and drive them forward to achieve even better results.

 

You will need to have a strong subject knowledge and be able to teach students of all abilities and ages. As well as this you will be highly organised with excellent communication and time management skills and will actively get involved with our ongoing efforts to become a fast-improving school.

 

This is also suitable for ECTS or apprenticeship available and will offer an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to raising standards and improving outcomes for young people.

 

We are seeking a passionate Textiles or Food graduate to join our Textile and Food department via the Level 6 Teacher Apprenticeship. This "earn-while-you-learn" route allows you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while being embedded in a supportive school environment. You will receive a reduced teaching timetable (maximum 80%) to ensure dedicated time for your training and portfolio development.

Key Requirements:

  • A UK Honours degree or equivalent (2:2 or higher) in Maths or a related field. * (if not a related degree then very strong subject knowledge is required)
  • GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Resilience and strong organisational skills to balance classroom teaching with academic study.
