About this Role

An Operations Business Partner at Ebor Academy Trust is a pivotal link between the strategic centre and our schools.  Supporting Head Teachers with the business and adminstrative aspects of running an efficient school while providing guidance and leadership to locally based admin teams, this role is an opportunity for an experienced business manager to enable our schools to deliver the best possible education to our children.
With an eye for efficiency and continuous improvement, you will enable schools to meet their own objectives as part of the Trust's aim to be one school, many sites.  Sharing best practice while ensuring compliance and commitment to the Trust's ways of working, you will coach staff and school leaders to meet financial targets, report accurate information and ensure that policy is followed; all with an eye on Ebor's values of Excellence, Belonging, Opportunity and Respect.

Purpose of the Role

  • Link schools to central teams: Connects academies directly to central services like HR, finance, estates, IT, and marketing.
  • Streamline operations: Implements and standardises trust-wide operational policies across all assigned schools.
  • Lead projects: Manages local school projects and supports the onboarding of new academies into the trust.
  • Develop staff: Coaches and mentors school-based support teams to build operational capacity.

Key Working Structure

  • Hybrid model: Splitting time between remote home working and daily site visits to cluster schools.
  • Central collaboration: Spending at least one day per week at the central trust headquarters for team alignment.

This role will be based on the East Coast of Yorkshire, providing a business support service to 3 or 4 of our schools in and around the Scarborough area.  Your travel will be fully expensed in this locally mobile role, with weekly travel to one of our central operating hubs in York or Hull.

Safeguarding Statement

Braeburn Primary and Nursery Academy are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Braeburn Primary and Nursery Academy ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.
