· Experience in trauma informed practice
is highly desirable
· A teacher who is reflective, able to use AFL to help pupils improve and use adaptive teaching to meet class SEND needs a person who has high personal expectations as well as high aspirations for all pupils.
· A strong, professional collaborator
who works well as part of a team with a willingness to lead on a subject to the
required high standard
Lambourn is a large village set in
rolling hills with easy accessibility to Swindon (12 miles), Marlborough (13
miles), Wantage (9 miles) and Newbury (13 miles). We are very proud of our
facilities - we have well maintained grounds, large and bright classrooms, a
minibus, an outdoor multi-gym, a swimming pool and good ICT provision.

Main Duties

Plan
and teach well-structured lessons, following the school’s plans, curriculum and
schemes of work

Assess,
monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of
pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment

Adapt
teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
·
Set
high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
·
Promote
good progress and outcomes by pupils
·
Demonstrate
good subject and curriculum knowledge
·
Contribute
to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies,
practices and procedures, so as to support the school’s vision and values
·
Make
a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
·
Work
with others on curriculum and pupil development to secure co-ordinated outcomes
·
Provide
cover, in the unforeseen circumstance that another teacher is unable to teach
·
Promote
the safety and wellbeing of pupils
·
Maintain
good order and discipline among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to
ensure a good and safe learning environment
·
Uphold
public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and
behaviour, within and outside school
·
Have
proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the
school, and maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality
