About this Role

Part-time, 14.5 hours per week.  Monday, 08:00-16:00 and Friday 08:00-15:30

We are looking for a dependable, confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our supportive and friendly team. Working under the direction of teaching colleagues, with guidance from senior leaders and our Pastoral Team, you will provide short-term classroom cover during periods of staff absence, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning.

Our cover supervisors work collaboratively across a range of departments in a role where no two days are the same. You will oversee the delivery of pre-prepared learning activities, promote positive behaviour in line with our well-established Behaviour for Learning policy and respond appropriately to students’ questions to help them access their work. When not required for cover supervision, you will also provide administrative support to faculties.

This is a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning. Our Cover Supervisor team build strong relationships with students and demonstrate flexibility by working across different subjects and key stages, making a valuable contribution to whole-school success.

For those considering a future career in teaching, this role offers excellent first-hand classroom experience, opportunities to work closely with teachers and pastoral staff, and valuable insight into lesson delivery, behaviour management and school life.

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is keen to make a positive impact on school life.
