About this Role

We are looking for someone special to join us at KA Rowner on a permanent or maternity cover basis.

King’s Academy Rowner is a vibrant, caring community where every child is empowered to flourish. Oftsed said:

There is a shared sense of pride about being part of ‘Team Rowner’. Leaders combine a strong sense of nurture with high expectations for pupils. Staff know the school community well and use this knowledge to create strong relationships. This allows all pupils to feel supported and achieve well. Families recognise the lengths leaders and staff go to. They too see themselves as part of ‘Team Rowner’.

As one parent said: ‘Rowner is one of the most caring and nurturing schools I know. The children are at the centre of everything they do. The opportunities available, not just within the school day, are second to none. It is more a way of life than a school.’

Leaders focus on promoting behaviour which supports learning. As a result, pupils behave well and work hard. Pupils feel safe and happy due to the many systems in place to support them. They know that staff help them with their friendships and will address any unkind behaviour or incidents of bullying.

Our values—Honesty, Faith, and Courage—are at the heart of all we do. We are ambitious for every pupil, ensuring they experience a school where creativity, ambition, and care go hand in hand.

We are seeking a Classroom Teacher who will:

  • Bring energy and enthusiasm to inspire and engage pupils in their learning

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and families

  • Share our commitment to nurturing each child’s potential

This role would suit both experienced teachers looking to further develop their practice within a supportive and high-performing team, and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are keen to grow with the support of experienced leaders.

What you’ll get from us:

  • A warm, collaborative team culture with a strong ‘Team Rowner’ spirit

  • Enthusiastic children who are eager to learn and achieve

  • A strong commitment to professional development, including high-quality coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support from experienced leaders

  • A structured and supportive induction for ECTs

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact within a thriving school community

If you are a passionate educator looking to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcome.

Apply now to help our children thrive in a school where they and you can succeed together.
