Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Voluntary Academy is seeking a dynamic and passionate Head of English to join our thriving secondary school. The Role:

As Head of English, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management of the English Department.
  • Ensure the delivery of an engaging and rigorous curriculum that inspires all learners.
  • Support and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Drive outstanding teaching and learning practices to ensure excellent student outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of high expectations, creativity, and academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school initiatives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, build effective working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues and will be committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of diverse learners.
