Hours: 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (term time only)
Grade: Band 5, Scale Points 19 – 24
Salary (FTE): £31,067 - £34,314 Per Annum
Actual Salary: £28,856.46 - £31,872.43 Per Annum

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lay Chaplain to work across multiple schools within our trust. This is a reserved post, and the successful candidate must be a practising Catholic who is committed to deepening the spiritual life of our school communities. The schools are:

The Role:
As Lay Chaplain, you will lead the spiritual growth of students, staff, and families across multiple schools. You’ll foster a strong Catholic ethos, organise liturgical events, and provide pastoral care. Working with the headteacher, you’ll help shape the Catholic Life of the school and implement its vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead prayers, liturgies, and worship, meeting the spiritual needs of the community.
- Offer pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students, staff, and families.
- Support the RE curriculum and integrate Catholic values into school life.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong knowledge of Catholic faith, liturgy, and traditions.
- Excellent communicator, able to engage and inspire.
- Collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Able to organize spiritual events and liturgical celebrations.
