About this Role

Purpose of the post

To oversee the site management of Coleshill C of E Primary School, a vibrant two form entry school.

To liaise with all stakeholders to co-ordinate maintenance and capital works within the school in line with agreed plans. To ensure appropriate training and development programs are in place for all the premises staff at the school. To demonstrate best practise in the management of school premises. To provide line management of the Cleaning Team deployed at the schools.

Coleshill Church of England Primary School is part of the Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) and therefore will be supported by and connected with a network of Church of England schools within the region. The Trust was established in 2017 by Birmingham Diocesan Board of Education, which has a strong track record of providing excellent educational provision and achieving rapid school improvement across all phases. The vision of the Trust is to ensure pupils have ‘life in all its fullness’; providing an education that will offer a wide range of opportunities and experiences within a Christian framework.

We believe our school should be a place where we all want to be – where our strong values are lived out by everyone within school, from our well-behaved children who want to learn, to our dedicated colleagues who are as committed to quality as you are.

Our school stands at the heart of the community it serves, and benefits from extensive open space and an ongoing programme of investment in the grounds and buildings. Our easily accessible location makes commuting from Birmingham, Coventry, Nuneaton, Tamworth Lichfield and the surrounding areas simple.

To arrange an informal enquiry, please contact the school on office@coleshill.bdmat.org.uk.

Further details of the school, trust and post can be found at https://bdmatschools.com/.

Visits to the school are very much welcomed and encouraged and can be arranged.

In line with our Safeguarding Policy, Coleshill C of E Primary School & Nursery and Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All roles within school are subject to a criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB).

The school’s policy requires all applicants for employment to disclose any previous unspent criminal convictions, any cautions which have not expired, or any pending prosecutions, that are not 'protected' as defined by the Ministry of Justice.

References of all shortlisted candidates will be sought prior to interview.
