About this Role

Job Title: Pastoral Officer

Location: Holbrook School for Autism, Portway (DE56 0TE) & Whitemoor (DE56 0DB) Sites 

Grade/Scale: Derbyshire Support Pay Scale, Grade 9 points 16-19

Contract:37 hours per week,

At Holbrook School for Autism we have an exciting new opportunity for an individual to join our pastoral team in order to support the safeguarding, attendance, wellbeing and pastoral care of our pupils buy working closely with staff, families and external agencies.  The postholder will help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

You will work with 4-19-year-olds with autism and learning disabilities and implement child protection procedures to ensure pupils are safe from harm, provide emotional and pastoral support to pupils, working with staff to develop strategies to support pupils' individual needs. The role requires an excellent communicator to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, external professionals and families.
