Location: Holbrook School for Autism
Grade/Scale: Derbyshire Support Pay Scale - Grade 7 (Points 8-11), Actual Salary £15,739 to £16,886 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day, 9.30-2.30pm (3/4 days applications will be considered)
We are seeking to appoint a number of outstanding Teaching & Learning Assistants, to work with 4-19-year-olds with autism and learning disabilities. Reporting to the Class Teacher, the ideal candidate will have a level 2 qualification or equivalent, positive approach to behaviour support and experience of working with young people with complex needs, including ADHD, SLD, SEMH.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to support access to learning with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom, including assisting with behaviour management, general care and personal hygiene needs of students. The primary focus will be to ensure continued high quality learning and student achievement. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning and recording cycle, and the management/preparation of resources.
