About this Role

We are looking for a Midday Assistant who enjoys working with children to join our friendly team of midday staff.  Our aim is to make lunch times enjoyable and safe for all our children.  The position is full-time and the working hours are 1 1/2 per day, from 11.45am until 1.15 pm.

Duties will include assisting children in selecting their meal in the dining hall, clearing tables and associated spillages when meals are finished and supervising children in games and activities in the playground.

Successful applicants must be able to:

  • possess good communication skills

  • be able to work as part of a team

  • show initiative

It would be an advantage to have experience of successful and recent work-based first-aid involving primary and/or nursery age children in an education setting, but this is not essential.

Theydon Bois Primary is a popular village school with a team of committed, supportive and friendly staff who strive to ensure that our children reach their full potential within a warm and caring school community.

Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust (EFSPT) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to a successful DBS check and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before an appointment is confirmed. Online searches are conducted on all shortlisted candidates. EFSPT is committed to equality, and to making fair and equitable treatment an integral part of everything we do.
