At Waverley, inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do. We believe every child can thrive with the right support and as part of our team, you’ll play a key role in shaping a culture where all pupils are known, valued, and able to achieve their full potential.

You’ll benefit from high-quality coaching, live feedback, and a supportive team committed to professional growth. If you share our “All in – no learning lost” vision and want to help transform lives, we’d love to hear from you.

Why You?

We’re not just looking for a SENDCo, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Believes every child deserves to succeed, no matter their starting point.
  • Inspires confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
  • Brings compassion, clarity, and commitment to their SEND practice.
  • Works collaboratively and supports colleagues to deliver inclusive teaching.
  • Thrives in a school that values reflection, ambition, and continuous improvement.

Your Role

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Lead, coordinate, and enhance SEND provision across the school.
  • Support staff in delivering adaptive, inclusive teaching that meets pupils’ diverse needs.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to shape strategic SEND practice.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and outside agencies.
  • Monitor progress and ensure provision is purposeful, consistent, and high-impact.
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement, curriculum development, and inclusive excellence.
  • Teach engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge all learners.

What You Bring

You are someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher (SENDCo qualification desirable, or willingness to undertake it).
  • Has a strong understanding of SEND practices, inclusive strategies, and safeguarding.
  • Demonstrates resilience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Approaches challenges with creativity, positivity, and professionalism.
  • Is committed to developing their practice and contributing to a forward-thinking culture.

Why Join Us?

At Waverley, we are proud to be a welcoming, inclusive school at the heart of a diverse community. We offer:

  • Pupils who are eager to learn and full of potential.
  • A supportive staff team who champion one another.
  • Leaders who value your voice, expertise, and wellbeing.
  • Access to excellent CPD, coaching, and SEND-specific professional development.
  • Opportunities to influence whole-school strategy and make a tangible impact.
  • Wellbeing support and flexible working options where possible.
