About this Role

Saracens High School is a free school that opened in September 2018 for pupils aged 11-18, in the Colindale area of North London, serving the wonderfully diverse Grahame Park community.

We have a history of supporting aspirational teachers into teaching by gaining classroom experience as a Cover Supervisor. With the support and training that accompanies this position, we have found it is the perfect preparation for that step into teaching or another role within the education sector.
The successful candidate will cover for staff absences by delivering the lessons, and when not required to cover, they will work within an identified subject area, supporting and learning from others, and developing their own pedagogy.
Saracens High School has a family ethos and is committed to supporting staff in this rewarding job, while recognising the stress it puts upon us. With generous teacher loadings, an on-site gym that is free for staff, the opportunity for colleagues to take family days, and access to a staff counsellor, we do all we can to look after our staff.
With strong ties to the wider Saracens organisation, we base all we do on the values Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty, and Humility and we focus on character development and making memories, as much as outstanding academic attainment. Last year, KS4 progress was in the top 20% nationally, and KS4 attainment in the top 9%, with Fischer Family Trusts contextual scores putting us in the top 7% for progress and top 4% for 9-4 in English and Maths. This summer our first cohort of Year 13 students achieved exceptional KS5 attainment this summer, with 90% going on to university or to begin a degree apprenticeship, with 15% going to a Russell Group University.
Our aim is to develop aspirational life-long learners, who will thrive in their chosen career path, embracing our values, and demonstrating a strong moral purpose and a desire to make a positive contribution to society and their local community. The successful candidates will have relevant experience of working with young people in an educational setting, and will ideally have a knowledge of the local area or similar area. We offer exceptional training and development opportunities and do all we can to support you in this role, and to achieve your aspirations, while you help the children to achieve theirs.
If you have any questions or would like a general conversation with the Principal about the role, please email principal@saracenshigh.org
The closing date is 17:00 on Monday 9 February 2026
Saracens Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

Saracens High School would like all candidates to answer specific questions for the personal statement section. For reference, here is a preview of the questions/headings:
