About this Role

Saracens High School is a free school that opened in September 2018 for pupils aged 11-18, in the Colindale area of North London, serving the wonderfully diverse Grahame Park community.

Following the current post holder moving on to teacher training, are looking for a new colleague to become our careers advisor to help lead careers across the school.  In this role, as well as advising KS3 and KS4 pupils and helping to lead our 'Futures Programme', you will work closely with the Sixth Form Leadership to help to prepare students for the next stage in their lives, whether that is in education, employment, or training.

Saracens High School has a family ethos and is committed to supporting staff in this rewarding job, while recognising the stress it puts upon us. With generous teacher loadings, the opportunity for colleagues to take family days, access to the school gym, and access to a staff counsellor, we do all we can to look after our staff.

Our pupils and families are extremely aspirational. In 2024 KS4 progress was in the top 20% nationally, and KS4 attainment in the top 9%, with Fischer Family Trusts contextual scores putting us in the top 7% for progress and top 4% for 9-4 in English and Maths. This summer our first cohort of Year 13 students achieved exceptional KS5 attainment this summer, with 90% going on to university or to begin a degree apprenticeship, with 15% going to a Russell Group University. This has been achieved within a context where nearly 60% of our children qualify for Free School Meals. In this role, you will truly change young people's lives.

With strong ties to the wider Saracens organisation, we base all we do on the values Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty, and Humility. We have a family ethos that focuses on character development and making memories, as much as outstanding academic attainment. Our aim is to develop aspirational life-long learners, who will thrive in their chosen career path, embracing our values, and demonstrating a strong moral purpose and a desire to make a positive contribution to society and their local community. (Hear Paul Dix speak about Saracens High School here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Utm3ocGeII)

We offer exceptional training and development opportunities and do all we can to support you in this role, and to achieve your aspirations, while you help the children to achieve theirs. If you h ave any questions or would like a general conversation with the Principal about the role, please contact the us on 020 8181 3180 or email principal@saracenshigh.org

The closing date is Monday 6 July 2026.
