As Director of Science, you will provide strategic leadership for the subject area, driving excellence in teaching, learning and curriculum design while inspiring both students and staff to achieve their very best.

You will lead a committed and talented team in delivering an engaging, knowledge-rich curriculum that inspires students to explore the world around them and develop as confident, analytical and independent thinkers. You will play a key role in ensuring exceptional outcomes for students and in shaping the future direction of Science across the academy.

We are seeking an exceptional classroom practitioner and subject leader who can inspire and motivate both students and colleagues. The successful candidate will:

• ·         Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of an ambitious and knowledge-rich Science curriculum.
• ·         Demonstrate the ability to engage, challenge and support all learners, ensuring every student achieves their full potential.
• ·         Use assessment and performance data effectively to drive improvement and raise standards across all key stages.
• ·         Lead, support and develop colleagues through coaching, collaboration and professional development.
• ·         Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department, ensuring consistently high standards.
• ·         Promote enrichment opportunities that enhance students' enjoyment of and engagement with Science.
• ·         Contribute actively to the wider leadership and strategic development of the academy.
• ·         Be reflective, ambitious and committed to their own professional growth and the success of their team.
