King’s Academy Binfield is seeking to appoint a passionate, dynamic and innovative Head of Modern Foreign Languages to join our ambitious academy community.

You will take the strategic lead in delivering an engaging, knowledge-rich curriculum in French and Spanish that inspires students to achieve exceptional progress and develop the confidence and cultural understanding needed to succeed in an increasingly global society.

As part of our all-through academy, you will benefit from working within a unique educational environment spanning Nursery to Post-16, offering opportunities to understand and shape the full student journey. Our growing Sixth Form and expanding provision create exciting possibilities for developing Key Stage 5 language pathways and long-term career development. 

We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner and leader who can inspire and motivate students to achieve their very best. The successful candidate will: 

• Have a passion for Modern Foreign Languages and a commitment to driving high standards of progress and attainment.
• Be able to teach Spanish and/or French, with the ability to lead curriculum development across the department.
• Demonstrate the ability to engage and challenge all learners, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
• Thrive as a subject leader and contribute meaningfully to the wider life and cultural capital of the academy through the promotion of languages and international understanding.
• Be reflective and ambitious, taking ownership of the department’s success and their own professional growth.
• Have a clear vision for increasing student engagement, participation and achievement in Modern Foreign Languages.
