Reset Base Manager

Full Time – Term Time Only
Start Date: September
Location: Astrea Academy Sheffield

Are you a calm, resilient and compassionate professional who thrives on supporting young people to succeed? Do you have the confidence and emotional intelligence to guide students through challenges and help them re-engage with learning?

We are looking for an exceptional Reset Base Manager to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about behaviour, inclusion, and making a meaningful difference every single day.

About You

You are someone who builds trust quickly and communicates with clarity and empathy. You stay calm under pressure, set high expectations, and inspire students to reflect, reset and move forward positively.

You’ll be motivated by helping young people overcome barriers, knowing your work directly impacts their confidence, wellbeing, and long-term success. You are organised, proactive, and able to balance structure with care in a fast-paced school environment.

About the Role

As Reset Base Manager, you will lead our Reset provision, creating a calm, structured environment where students can reflect on their behaviour, continue their learning, and prepare to successfully return to lessons.

You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour across the academy, working closely with pastoral teams, teaching staff, and families to ensure every student is supported to succeed. Roles like this are central to helping students reflect and reintegrate successfully into mainstream learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support students within the Reset Base, ensuring a focused and respectful environment
  • Help students reflect on their behaviour and develop strategies for improvement
  • Ensure students continue to engage with their learning while in the provision
  • Work closely with staff and pastoral teams to support reintegration into lessons
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour tracking and reporting
  • Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, and behavioural expectations at all times

What We Offer

  • A supportive and values-driven working environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • The chance to make a genuine, daily impact on students’ lives
  • A role where every day is different, rewarding, and meaningful

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young people (school or similar setting)
  • Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, resilient approach with the ability to manage challenging situations
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Why Join Us?

At Astrea Academy Trust, we are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment where both staff and students can thrive. You’ll be part of a team that values professionalism, collaboration, and the belief that every child can succeed.
