About this Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher and HLTA to join our exciting new specialist base, The Orchard, at Greenacres Primary School. The Orchard is an LA commissioned specialist base designed to educate children from Y1 to Y6 - who have Education Health and Care Plans with identified Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and neurodivergent needs as their primary areas of need. We enable children to access education whilst working closely with professionals to identify and plan the next steps in each child's learning journey.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core curriculum subjects within The Orchard setting when required, adapting learning to meet the individual needs of the child. In the afternoons, the role will transition to a higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) position, supporting teaching and learning across the setting.

A key requirement for this role is a strong knowledge and understanding of how children learn in outdoor environments, with the ability to apply this effectively in practice.
