About this Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves supporting young children, working closely with families, and ensuring every child can access the very best start in life. Discovery Primary Academy are currently reducing  published admisson numbers (PAN).  This role is temporary, fixed term until 31st August 2028 to support the inplementation of Incluison across Early Years and Year One

Specific Duties:

·         Working alongside the academy SENCo, coordinate SEND provision across EYFS leading into year 1

·         Support the SENCo by completing necessary referrals to outside services in EYFS and the wider school

·         Work closely with practitioners to implement tailored learning plans

·         Monitor children’s progress and ensure interventions are effective

·         Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals in EYFS and the wider school

·         Support the EHCP processes and statutory documentation within EYFS

·         Support staff in best practice, offering coaching and training where needed

·         Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with SEND legislation

·         Promote inclusive practice and ensure every child has access to meaningful learning opportunities

 

You will be someone who is:

       Passionate about Early Years and children’s development

       Experienced in working with children with SEND

       Confident in liaising with families and professionals

       Knowledgeable about the SEND Code of Practice and statutory procedures

       Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload

       A supportive team player with excellent communication skills

       Compassionate, patient and committed to inclusion
