About this Role

Grade3/4 Points 5-10

23.75 hours per week, over 5 days per week, term time

Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s life? Do you have the patience, compassion, and dedication to support a child with special educational needs?

At Wallington Primary Academy, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team. You’ll work across Key Stage 2, providing support to help the children thrive both academically and emotionally. You will also have play support responsibilities during lunch break.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Experience supporting children with SEND
✅ Experience in delivering speech and language interventions (preferable but not essential)
✅ A caring and positive attitude
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills

We wish to appoint a motivated, flexible and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our driven and dedicated team. We are looking for a colleague who is able to work independently and who also enjoys working collaboratively, under the guidance of teaching staff. You will be delivering high-quality support, focusing on improving outcomes for our pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an established team and to bring high standards of teaching and learning to our School.

We are a welcoming and inclusive school, situated in the London Borough of Sutton. We are lucky to have a fantastic learning environment (you need to see it to believe it) – with plenty of space for outside learning, play and sports – and a committed, determined and supportive team of teachers, support staff and Governors, who have high expectations for the success of all children and the future of our school.

Wallington Primary Academy is part of Cirrus Primary Academy Trust, and has the commitment that it can and should be its own, unique setting. All schools within the Trust  share a relentless focus on personalised planning and having the highest aspirations for what children can achieve. This core value of being child-centred is an intrinsic part of every school’s DNA, and is the minimum standard expected of all employees of the Trust.

We are proud to offer staff and pupil charters which demonstrate our commitment to protect, promote and enhance the opportunities available to everyone who is part of Cirrus.

Our commitment to professional development is ongoing and we offer a wide range of courses and learning opportunities as well as opportunities to network with experienced practitioners from across the Trust.

We strive to empower our pupils to be the best they can be by providing education that enables them to flourish and take pride in their achievements. Our class teachers are enthusiastic, highly skilled and motivated to create unique learning experiences for our pupils. We would love to hear from like minded individuals.

Cirrus Primary Academy Trust champions continuous professional development and has a range of CPD offerings and other staff benefits which include:

- LGPS and TPS pension

- Employee Assistance Programme

- Cycle to work scheme

- Staff recognition awards

- Staff Charter

- Two week October half term
