About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor (32.5 hrs per week, term time only plus 5 additional days) to join our support team at Holderness Academy.

Holderness Academy is part of The Consortium Academy Trust. We are ambitious about the future – creating learning environments and excellence in teaching and learning that provide our children and young people with the best chance at a successful future. Coupled with this is the commitment, care and investment in our people, who we believe are our greatest asset. If you are a team player who is looking for a varied and interesting new career opportunity within learning support, then we want to hear from you!

About the Role

The Cover Supervisor is responsible for providing lesson and registration cover to facilitate students’ learning during the absence of teachers. In the event of no cover being required, the Cover Supervisor will support individual teachers or provide administrative or student welfare support within the academy, under the guidance of the Line Manager, adhering to the Academy’s and the Trust’s policies and procedures.

Please see the attached job description for more information about the role.

About You

You should have experience of working with young people and the ability to establish good professional relationships with students and colleagues. You should also have the ability to deliver effective supervision of young people ensuring high standards of classroom management and behaviour.

Applicants should be educated to GCSE A-C (or equivalent) in both English and Maths, be organised, reliable and resilient, and be committed to their own learning. Please see the attached job description for a full list of requirements for this position.

What WE can Offer YOU

In return for your skills and experience, we provide a supportive and friendly environment to develop and thrive. We offer all staff access to an excellent pension (TPS/LGPS); a generous annual leave entitlement with additional shutdown days over the Christmas period; staff development opportunities; free onsite car parking; and a supportive induction programme.

For an informal discussion about this post, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Buckley, Assistant Headteacher via telephone on 01482 899315.
