About this Role

About this Role

Great Bedwyn CofE School are looking for a committed and friendly person to join our thriving transport team on a permanent contract to drive our school minibus. The hours would be split between the morning and afternoon (at the beginning and end of the school day). Days are negotiable and there will be opportunities for extra hours for driving to trips and events.

Our ethos and values are expressed through the motto “Together may we give our children – roots to grow and wings to fly”.

Are you someone who enjoys helping children start and end their day with a smile?

Are you a safe and reliable driver looking for a rewarding role?

Are you friendly, approachable, and great at building rapport with young people?

We could be the place for you!

Our school is set in the thriving village of Great Bedwyn, surrounded by farmland and sitting on the outskirts of Savernake Forest. Learning together and establishing trusting relationships lie at the heart of everything we do and we are extremely proud of the many and varied achievements of all our children. We were rated Outstanding by Ofsted in March 2024, demonstrating the excellence running through every aspect of our school. We love to welcome entire families to our wonderful school and work closely with parents, staff and children alike to ensure everyone is valued and cared for throughout their time with us.

We are part of Excalibur Multi Academies Trust, a family of like-minded schools. Excalibur’s Vision – “Achieving Excellence – Empowering Individuality” – ties in perfectly with our own.

If you are interested in this position, please do not hesitate to contact the office either via email or telephone to ask any questions or arrange a visit. We can't wait to hear from you!

We reserve the right to close the advert early and interview prior to the above mentioned closing date, therefore early applications are encouraged.
