We are delighted to offer a wonderful opportunity to join Our Lady and St Werburgh’s Catholic Academy, part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi- Academy Trust, as a Head of School.  A trust of 64 schools.

The Board of Directors are seeking to appoint a committed, practising Catholic leader who can build on the securely good reputation and standards in our academy.  As part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Academy Trust our new Head of School should be able to provide clear direction and demonstrate experience and impact of leadership at primary level. The Head of School will report directly to the Executive Headteacher and CSEL to secure school improvement and best practice for the benefit of all pupils within the academy and across the CMAT.

The Directors and Governors are keen to appoint someone who will:

·         Demonstrate a clear vision for Catholic education, lead the Catholic life of the academy through devotion to their own faith, and engage with others within the parish and local community.

·         Be able to work closely with the CSEL, Executive Headteacher and local academy to set the academy’s strategic vision.

·         Demonstrate resilience and commitment in securing positive outcomes for all pupils.

·         Possess excellent inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

·         Demonstrate their understanding and awareness of pedagogy and research to improve outcomes for all pupils.

·         Sustain a positive culture with high regard for pupil and staff well-being.

·         Contribute to school improvement beyond the academy.

What we will offer:

·         A supportive and experienced leadership team within a large and ambitious Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

·         High-quality professional development and leadership pathways.

·         Opportunities to collaborate and contribute across a network of 64 schools.

·         A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance.
