About this Role

Shakespeare Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly skilled Year 6 teacher to join our dedicated and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven practitioner who has a strong track record of raising attainment and achieving excellent outcomes at the end of Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have substantial experience teaching Year 6 and across Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrate proven impact on pupil progress and attainment, supported by strong data outcomes
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, SATs preparation and assessment frameworks
  • Be highly skilled in quality-first teaching, adaptive practice and meeting the needs of all learners
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and drive improvement
  • Be resilient, organised and confident working in a high-expectations year group
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, leaders and support staff to maximise pupil success

Shakespeare Primary School is a rapidly developing two form entry primary school, with our own nursery, that serves the west of Plymouth. With a new yet experienced, innovative and research driven leadership team at the helm, our school staff are raising standards at speed for our school community.
