About this Role

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm (30 minute break)

35 hours per week, term time plus 1 week

Brookside Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Practitioner to provide classroom and teaching support in EYFS, starting from the Autumn term 2026. The role will include supporting the class teachers in EYFS, as well as leading small-group learning. We are looking for candidates with either a Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification, a secure knowledge of the Reception curriculum, and early years statutory framework, and who have a passion for creating a wonderful start to schooling for our youngest children, aged 4-5.

Join our warm, welcoming Early Years team, where kindness, collaboration and creativity shape everything we do. Our staff are highly supportive of one another, working closely to provide a nurturing, child-centred environment where both children and adults thrive. We celebrate each other’s strengths, share ideas freely, and create a positive, playful atmosphere every day. If you’re looking to join a friendly team that truly values teamwork, professional growth and joyful learning, we’d love for you to consider applying for the role. Please see the attached job description and person specification for more details on the role. If you would like to visit the school, and the EYFS classrooms, please contact the school office on office@brookside.leics.sch.uk / 0116 2713680.
