About this Role

Roman Hill Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning and promote the wider development of pupils at our school.  This  is a permanent role, 27.5 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week).

As part of our commitment to meeting the needs of SEND children in the local and regional area, we are excited to be offering a Specialist Unit provision, opening in June 2026. Applicants for this job advert will be considered for a role in both the mainstream school and specialist provision based on experience and skills. This can be discussed in greater detail with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be child-centered and committed to the ethos of our school
  • Be a reflective practitioner who considers the needs of all children
  • Have the drive to help our children achieve their potential across a broad and  stimulating curriculum
  • Be keen to be part of a team, prepared to constantly review your practice and   strive for excellence
  • Be dedicated to forming effective working relationships with pupils
  • Have experience of, or an interest in supporting pupils with special educational needs.
