Unity Education Trust are recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Magdalen Academy, providing individual support to a Key Stage 2 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting children in KS2, particularly those with additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to support the pupil’s learning, emotional regulation and behaviour, helping them to access the curriculum and develop positive relationships. You will play a key role in building a trusting relationship with the child, acting as a positive role model, and responding proactively to their individual needs.

Please note that the role does involve some regular physical activity e.g. supporting intimate care, interacting with students through play on the floor and responding promptly to escalated situations. This does not remove our obligation to make adjustments where appropriate.

Magdalen Academy is part of Unity Education Trust who provide education for Norfolk children across all age ranges, mainstream, specialist provision, SEND and complex needs. When joining our federation, you will become part of our successful family of schools that prides itself in developing all.
