We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to
join our team, specialising in working with pupils with profound and multiple
learning disabilities (PMLD). The ideal candidate will have an in depth
understanding of supporting students with complex needs, including those with
high medical needs such as epilepsy, tube feeding, and the administration of
medication. They will demonstrate a keen awareness of each pupil's medical
requirements and the importance of ensuring their wellbeing.
The ideal candidate should also have expertise in
positioning, moving, and handling pupils with physical disabilities and limited
mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety. They should be adept at engaging
and teaching pupils who are pre-verbal and may have vision impairments,
employing innovative and personalised approaches to facilitate learning and
communication. An ability to observe, micro-analyse, and interpret pupils'
movements and actions to understand their unique methods of communication is essential.
This role requires a teacher who is patient, resourceful,
and passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
where every pupil can thrive.
