About this Role

About this Role

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be confident working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting high‑quality learning in a range of classrooms. You will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support for pupils, including those with special educational needs, helping to remove barriers and promote positive progress.

The role also includes leading whole‑class learning during PPA time, so strong classroom management, effective communication, and the ability to deliver engaging activities are essential. We are seeking someone who is positive, proactive, and committed to ensuring every child thrives.

In this role, we are looking for you to:

•Provide tailored support to meet the child’s individual learning and emotional needs.

•Assist with classroom activities, ensuring inclusion and engagement.

•Implement strategies outlined in the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

•Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to monitor progress and adapt support as needed.

Hours: 12 hours per week 

Working weeks: 39 weeks per year (Term time only)

Paid weeks: 43.699 per year (includes holiday entitlement)

Salary: £24,469.00  FTE

Contract: Fixed-term  until 23 July 2026

Blisland School was built in 1880 and serves the village of Blisland and surrounding area. The school is located just outside the beautiful village of Blisland in a hamlet, named Waterloo, on the very edge of Bodmin Moor.
