About this Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible and committed to helping the child access learning, develop confidence and thrive in our school environment.

In this role, we are looking for you to:

•Provide tailored support to meet the child’s individual learning and emotional needs.

•Assist with classroom activities, ensuring inclusion and engagement.

•Implement strategies outlined in the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

•Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to monitor progress and adapt support as needed.

Hours: 12 hours per week 

Working weeks: 39 weeks per year (Term time only)

Paid weeks: 43.699 per year (includes holiday entitlement)

Salary: £24,469.00  FTE

Contract: Fixed-term  until 23 July 2026

About you

We are looking for someone who possesses:

  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow guidance and work collaboratively within a team.
