Teacher Main Scale/Upper Pay Scale - £34,398 - £52,490

Plus TLR 2B Allowance - £6,066 per annum 

FTE: 100%

Start date: September 2026  

We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent and a relevant degree) to lead our experienced Modern Foreign Languages department.

The successful candidate will be creative, innovative, efficient, and committed to raising standards. They will have excellent subject knowledge and experience to lead a highly motivated team of superbly collaborative teachers committed to a creative and stimulating approach to teaching and learning, and to instilling a passion for Modern Foreign Languages in our students. It would be desirable for the successful candidate to able to teach both French and Spanish.

BCHS is located in the heart of Brentwood, near the town centre, a short distance from the train station, which is 25 minutes from Liverpool Street Station. The school also includes a large sixth form campus and achievements at KS5 have been a key strength at BCHS. Parking is available on-site and there are good transport links by both rail and bus. BCHS is just over two miles from the M25. 

Brentwood County High School is a member of the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. The Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust, with twelve member schools within Essex.
