Brentwood County High School wishes to appoint a Cover Manager who is highly organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about supporting excellent education. We are seeking an exceptional Cover Manager to join our dedicated team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our thriving secondary school.
As our Cover Manager, you will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher to coordinate and manage all teacher cover arrangements, ensuring that every lesson is staffed effectively and that learning continues uninterrupted. This is a key operational role at the heart of school life, requiring excellent communication, planning and people-management skills.
What You'll Be Doing
Organising cover arrangements for absent teaching staff.
Managing the daily cover rota and maintaining accurate records.
Leading, supporting and quality assuring a team of Cover Supervisors.
Liaising with supply agencies and external staff to secure appropriate cover within budget.
Supporting the development and implementation of the school's cover procedures.
Acting as a positive role model and maintaining high expectations across the school community.
Responding professionally to day-to-day challenges and ensuring school policies are followed at all times.
