Liverpool Diocesan Schools Trust and the governors of St Andrews CE Primary School wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant, Level 2 or Level 3 (working in SEND provision)

Join our welcoming school community as a Teaching Assistant, providing caring and effective 1:1 and classroom support to help pupils learn, grow and achieve.

About the Role

You will work under the direction of teaching staff to support learning, behaviour and pupil wellbeing. The role includes preparing resources, delivering small‑group or 1:1 activities, and helping maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with their learning, confidence and independence
  • Build positive relationships and act as a role model
  • Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies
  • Help deliver structured learning activities, including literacy and numeracy
  • Prepare and organise classroom resources
  • Record and report pupil progress
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality procedures
