About this Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Midday Supervisory staff to support our busy team during lunchtimes.  The successful candidates will be responsible for the supervision of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring our pupils are happy and safe during the lunchtime period.  Additional duties include preparing the hall for dining, serving meals, clearing away.  The post holders will also support the Senior Midday Supervisor with administrative duties in relation to Food Standards.  You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills to ensure our lunchtime provision is effective.  A first aid qualification would be preferred, but not essential as training can be provided.

We are seeking 1 permanent midday supervisor but also have opportunities to join the team in a casual role with the candidates working on an ‘as and when required’ basis, with hours taking place Monday to Friday, between 11.45am and 1.15pm.

Why choose Bassingham Primary School?

Safer Recruitment:
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to Safer Recruitment checks in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, which includes an enhanced DBS check.  This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 175 (as amended) and will involve contact with children and, therefore, the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Fluency Duty:
In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
