North Tawton Community Primary School and Nursery is nestled in the heart of this small town with close links to the community and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The school itself has extensive grounds, including a forest school, playing fields and an orchard. We have a busy Nursery for 2 year olds upwards, and around 135 children from Reception to Year 6. We are a close-knit team who work together to provide an excellent learning environment.
As our KS1 Teacher, you will create a calm, purposeful, and engaging classroom environment where children feel confident, motivated, and eager to learn. You will plan creative, well‑structured lessons that support children’s progress across the curriculum while ensuring learning remains joyful, meaningful, and accessible for all.

Summary of Role:
