At Derby Moor Spencer Academy, we take great pride in the facilities that we offer our students. Our school was re-built in 2013 and now features a welcoming entrance plaza, state of the art technology and a diverse range of learning spaces and sports facilities.

We are seeking to appoint an individual:

  • To undertake tasks that maintain and enhance the school overall appearance, safety, security, cleanliness, and efficiency.
  • With the ability to prioritise work and have a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • With the ability to work efficiently using good organisational skills.
  • Who can work well as part of a team and on your own - Able to follow direction and work in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Able to work flexibly, adopt a hands-on approach and respond to unplanned situations - Being flexible with changing tasks or unexpected situations.
  • Able to quickly address issues such as minor repairs or emergencies as directed.
  • Able to work on a 3 shift rotating pattern (6am-2pm, 8am-4pm, 2pm-10am)
  • Committed to the highest standards of child protection and safeguarding.
  • With an understanding of the importance of personal responsibility for health and safety.
  • Who is dependable and trustworthy with tasks and schedules.
  • Who can ensure cleanliness, safety checks, and proper maintenance – having a good understanding of H&S and compliance.
  • With basic computer skills and good communication skills.
  • Able to handle manual tasks.
  • With basic technical or safety knowledge - Understanding health and safety protocols and equipment handling and able to undertake mandatory training as and when needed.
